Rob went to Baylor University after Paschal.

Rob completed his freshman year in pre-med. Rob & Mike Merrill and I all took Chemistry 105 & Chemistry 106 together. This was the pre-med & pre-dental chemistry. Its goal was to "weed out" 1/2 of the pre-meds & pre-dental students. It did a good job at that. Very tough inorganic chemistry courses.

Mike, Rob & I all did well. (A tribute to oue education at Paschal).

Rob was working a construction job in the summer of 1969. Rob suffered a tragic, construction accident. Rob died in the accident.

His funeral was at church on Loop 820. I am pretty sure it was Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Mike Merrill and I were there.

It was a BIG SHOCK to Mike & me. It was a BIG SHOCK to everyone.

Rob, may you continue to rest in peace.

Richard, thanks again for the memories. Rob and I dated the last semester of our senior year and into the summer. Went to all senior activities together, had summer fun, then off to Baylor for him.
The  accident didn't kill him outright  He was at St. Joseph's hospital for some time after some surgery, but finally developed pneumonia which did him in.  Mike got to see him in ICU, but no one else other than family got to see him.

His funeral was at St. Christopher's  Episcopal on Loop 820.  We will never understand why brilliant people like Rob are taken at such a you age.

Dear Dianna: hello. Thank you for your corrections to my memorial note about Rob. I really appreciate you doing this.

Wow. You & Rob dated your senior year. Very special. Dianna, did you go by Diane when we were in school together ? All the best to you. Again, thank you so much for corrections. Very sincerely, Rick

Rick,

Yes, I was so "in love" with Rob...lol...thought I would end up marrying a doctor. (Silly girl). I actually  was married to another of our classmates for about 5 years, Wendell Ward.

Went by Dianne since everyone called me that anyway. Thanks, again, for the memories. I'm assuming you are retired.  Hope you are have a good life.
