I knew Randy at First Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth. The youth division there was my second social life apart from Paschal. We were in the choir before my voice changed and he became a musician and played in a band. I don't know what he did for a living. I didn't keep up with him after high school but noticed at early reunions that he had few friends. Tall, lanky, awkward, shy, don't think he ever married. He and his younger brother had gained way too much weight at a later reunion. I was not the friend to him he needed me to be. But I thought someone should honor his life with at least a comment here, even as late as I am in speaking.
