Jeff Heinrichs

Jeff Heinrichs

Jeffrey Paul Heinrichs was born on July 12, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Andrew Nestor “Nick” Heinrichs and Thelma Lee Collins Heinrichs. He joined his beautiful and precious wife, Patti, in one of our Father’s many rooms on March 3, 2024, at the age of 73 years. Patti died just four weeks earlier at the age of 70 years.

Early in Jeff’s life, the Heinrichs family moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where he grew up. Despite his start in Steel City, he always considered himself a Texan and lived his life like one. He graduated from Paschal High School in Ft. Worth and subsequently from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. It was in Lubbock that he met a pretty, blonde coed named Patricia Ann Crosley from Lake Jackson, Texas, who would soon become his best friend forever and the love and light of his life. They married in the summer of 1974 and would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary this coming August.

After Patti Perfect (a self-proclaimed moniker) graduated from Texas Tech, they moved to Houston where Jeff had a successful and meaningful career with Williams, retiring after 41 years as Director and Controller of Regulated Accounting. He was passionate about his job, was well respected and treated all co-workers, regardless of status or position, with dignity and respect.

Jeff was the second of four sons born to Nick and Lee, and then became one of eight siblings (his, hers and ours) which resulted from the later marriage of Nick and Carla (humorously referred to as the “Heinrichs Bunch”). He had a close and loving relationship with his siblings and their respective families throughout his life and was loved, admired and cherished by them in return.

Jeff and Patti had three children who added enormous glee, happiness and love to their lives – Jenni LaBeth (Wes); Sara Hinkle (Matt); and Paul Heinrichs (Niki). They were further blessed with five grandchildren – Logan LaBeth, Livi LaBeth, Liam Hinkle, Harper Hinkle and Elle Heinrichs – who brought enormous joy and mirth as their family expanded.

Jeff’s primary focus was on family and faith. He loved being with, and was so proud of, his family and was a devout Catholic with a long active membership at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Houston where he served on the Finance Council. His Catholicism was vital in his life and he had a strong religious strength and belief.

Jeff reveled in spending time at their house on Lake Livingston where many years of jet skiing, boating and floating kept him “young” and energetic. He was active in the Cape Royal Boater's Association and made many close friends in the lake community. With Patti Perfect, there also were pickleball, bicycling, lengthy walks and ultra-competitive dart games. He was a rabid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and was “there” live for the three Superbowl wins of the 1990’s. Jeff also cheered heartily for the Houston Astros and was an ardent rooter of all Red Raider sports.

He loved to travel throughout America and the world and, with members of the Crosley family, became a charter member of “Team Chimay” (you would have had to be there). Jeff amassed an enormous collection of beer cans, drove a powder blue Thunderbird, became an IPA connoisseur and possessed a knowledge of and collection of rock and roll music second to few.
