Jerri Blackmon (Robinson)

Jerri W. Robinson FORT WORTH--Jerri Wanell Robinson, 68, surrounded by her family, passed from her earthly home on Saturday, May 5, 2018. SERVICE: 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at University Baptist Church, 2720 Wabash Ave. Jerri Robinson was born in Fort Worth on Oct. 13, 1950, and was the beloved daughter of Jim and Joyce Blackmon. She was the beloved sister of Jimmie Blackmon, and the close and treasured cousin of Steve and Gary Madsen. Jerri graduated from Paschal High School in 1968, and continued her studies at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, for her freshman year. After her freshman year, Jerri transferred to Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. It was at Texas Tech that Jerri gained her many lifelong friendships that would bring her so many years of joy and companionship. On the 25th day of November, 1972, Jerri married her college sweetheart, Benjamin Robinson IV, and in November of 1976 Jerri Robinson was blessed with her first child, Benjamin Robinson V. The family continued to grow with Rebecca Robinson, born April of 1981, and Zachary Robinson, born on Jerri's birthday in 1985. It was always family that was the driving force in Jerri Robinson's life. She was a devoted and unselfish mother to her three surviving children, Ben and wife, Brandy, Rebecca, Zachary and fiancee, Rose. She was a joyful and loving grandmother to her four surviving grandchildren, Ethan Jackson Queen, Jadyn Anne Queen, Kathrine Isabel Robinson, and Harley Rose Farris. Jerri was a giving and sweet-natured woman whose one and only concern was the health and happiness of all those she valued and kept close to her. There will not be one left among us that did not feel the love and generosity of her life here on earth. Jerri Robinson was greeted in heaven by her mother, Joyce Blackmon; her father, Jimmie Blackmon; her uncle, Alfred P Madsen; her aunt, Marga Madsen; and her cousin, Meredith Madsen. It will be with family that Jerri Robinson will always be, and in our hearts is where we will always keep her. SURVIVORS: W.T. I didn't know her; we said Hi in passing and that was about it, but I always enjoyed seeing her sweet face.
