Jerry Cullum
March 17, 1950 - November 24, 2021
Fort Worth, Texas - Jerry Ray Cullum, 71, passed away at his home with his wife by his side on November 24, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
Jerry was born on March 17, 1950 in Fort Worth to Olen and Josephine Cullum. He graduated from Paschal High School and earned his BBA degree at Texas Wesleyan University. At 19 years old, Jerry met Sheila Beeman. Their first date was West Side Story at Casa Manana, and they married at the Botanic Gardens in 1973.
Jerry was a proud, lifetime Fort Worth resident. He was an original Sugar Daddy at Bruce Shulkey Elementary and spent many years volunteering at Wedgwood Baptist Church.
He recently retired from his dream job at TCU. Prior to TCU, he had a long career at Lockheed Martin.
Jerry had a passion for working on cars, including his '65 Mustang. He rode a unicycle, had an extensive suspender collection, loved making pancakes and root beer floats, enjoyed videography and golfing, had a contagious smile, and adored his grandchildren. His family continues to feel his reflection of God's unconditional love.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Josephine. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; son, Casey and wife, Diana; daughter, DeDe and husband, Jamil; grandchildren, Gabriel, Abraham, Mariam, Dorothea, Josephine, and Chadwick; and brothers, Clifford and Louis, as well as extended family.
Join us in celebrating his life at a memorial service held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00pm at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church, 6251 Oakmont Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76132. In lieu of flowers, please express an unexpected act of kindness to your dad, papa, or loved one.
