I attended Texas Tech, where I met my husband Petter. We moved from Lubbock to Austin for him to attend graduate school at UT. I worked at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health until my pregnancy. I stayed home with Sarah until my divorce from Peter.
I married Richard and continued staying home with Sarah until she was three. I began working part-time as an administrator in the UT Aerospace Department. As Sarah grew, so did my career, and I advanced to the position of senior administrator. The Executive Assistant of Civil Engineering recruited me to work for her. When she retired, I was promoted to that position in the newly formed Civil, Enviornmental, and Architectural (CEA) Engineering Department. I worked there until my retirement in 2008 after 37 years of service to UT.
Through the years, I've had many interests and hobbies including, sewing, reading, cooking, baking, cake decorating, volunteering at local elections, cross stitching, quilting, teaching people to read, Hardanger embroidery, calligraphy, walking 5K races, jewelry making, weightlifting, papercraft and card making.
