Suzy Meek (Studdard)

Suzy passed away on May 12, 2024

this was from her daughter:

To Suzy's friends and loved ones:

It is with a heavy heart I must let you know that our mother Suzy Studdard passed away in the hospital Sunday afternoon. Her health had declined significantly in the last year and even more in the last few months.

I hope you find comfort in knowing she was not alone and she is no longer in pain

Thank you to those who prayed and reached out to her during her health struggles and to all of the people who helped us along the way.

She will be cremated and her ashes will be spread in a rose garden per her lifelong request.

We will be holding a memorial service for her soon and will post here (Suzy Studdard Facebook page) or on my page Molly Studdard to let you all know when and where the service will be.

I am trying to we remember Suzy. I knew a Suzy in 7th grade at Wedgewood Jr. High School. She played piano with the Orchestra. She had long red hair. Was that Suzy? I only knew her for a short time. Sending condolences to your family, all around.

She was the outstanding soloist in the choir at Paschal. I thought she'd be a professional singer.

Suzy and I were in the same first grade class at South Hills Elementary, and other classes as well. We sang in the mixed chorus together at Paschal. We dated briefly, and I later kept in touch with her and Gary sporadically. They were both very good to me during a difficult time, and I have thought about them regularly. She had a remarkable upbringing -- he mother was an extraordinary woman. I last saw them -- and Molly and Nathun -- at their home in Rockwall in the late '90s. She repaired broken dolls.

Good memories.

Thinking for a couple days, the girl I'm remembering was Susie MILLER. Both girls were musically talented. I'm so glad they accomplished all they did, in school, and later on in life.

Suzy was so musically talented and had such a beautiful voice. She was also very kind to me when I came to Paschal the second semester of our Junior year. My condolences to her family.
