Ronald Mansfield Millican Obituary Ronald Mansfield Millican was born September 24, 1950 in Plainview, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. At the age of 72, he had made great accomplishments in his life, was loved by all that knew him and will be so dearly missed. Ron grew up in San Angelo and Ft. Worth, graduating from Paschal High School before attending college at UTA. He began his career in home construction with an old used dump truck, cleaning up the jobsites. He worked his way up the ladder, working in multiple trades, to superintendent and upper management of various building companies before starting Windmill Custom Homes with Vickie, his wife. She was the love of his life for 25 years. They enjoyed country dancing, traveling, gardening and playing fetch with Rex. Ron took pleasure in spending time with his church home at Oakwood Baptist and loved to sing with the choir. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and was the designated photographer for family gatherings and relished in the memories of the moments spent with them. Ron was preceded in his death by parents, Manse and Ruth Millican, as well as brother-in-law Gary Perkins and beloved niece Lauren Millican. He is survived by his wife, Vickie; children Jacob Millican and wife Stephanie, Zachary Millican, Jason Staley and wife Julie, Diane Srader and husband Robert, Buck Staley and wife Jessica; grandchildren Brandon Staley, Jake Staley, Colton Staley, Kate Staley, Luke Staley, Garrett Smith, Brock Staley, Wyatt Staley, Aubree Millican, Claire Staley, Kent Millican; sister Marcy Perkins and brother Scott Millican and wife Pam; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. His funeral service will be held at Blaylock Funeral Home, 143 Nixon Lane, San Saba, Texas on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11 AM. Pastor Steve Peace will officiate. Pallbearers: Jacob Millican, Zach Millican, Jason Staley, Buck Staley, Scott Millican, Stephen Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Braunfels Food Bank.
