James Harry Shaver Jr., 59, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Saturday at Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Private interment. James Harry Shaver Jr. was born Dec. 28, 1949, in Fort Worth, son of James Harry Shaver Sr., who preceded him in death, and Dorothy Lee Horton Shaver. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and graduated from Paschal High School and TCU where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. Jim was also a member of Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Jim was extremely interested in the activities of his children and participated by spending many years coaching their baseball teams. Zach said his dad was "the biggest cheerleader I ever had." Survivors: Wife of 24 years, Suzanne Belton Shaver; sons, Zach, Andrew and Alec; daughter, Isabella; mother, Dorothy Shannon Shaver; brother, Ed Shaver; nephews and nieces; extended family members; and many friends who will miss him dearly.
