Like all of us, he was too young. I've known Wendell since before grade school through First Methodist in downtown. His sense of humor mimics mine. I enjoyed his dry wit. I still remember some of his humor to this day.  His parents were neighbors of my mother. I would see him from time to time while visiting home.  I don't visit FW much now that I am the only one left in my family.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of wendell.  We went all the way through school together, and he was such a nice guy.

Today must be my day to make In Memory comments...I would be remiss if I didn't comment about Wendell.  What a wonderful, forgiving, thoughtful, fun, loving friend. We met in a class at McLean when I sat in front of him and he "knitted" my sweater with his pencil.
So sad that he is gone. My condolenscence to his wife, Sharon, and all of his family.
