From Marsha Mayhall. I’m thinking our class had 976 graduates

Hi, Hope, I remember our class very well. It never even occurred to me that there was a picture, but I bet you’re right. I would love to see it. The church might have those records. I remained extremely active in the First Pres youth group till we graduated.  It was a big part of my life.

Hi Cathy!  Yeah, those were some of the best times with the youth group.  Sheryl Shockley and I went every Sun morning and evening and Wed eves as well.  Great memories!

Y'all jogged my memory...thanks!  I was a member of the Westcliff Methodist Church "MYF" Methodist Youth Fellowship.  The church is not longer located where we attended, but it would be great to see some pictures of our various activities.

Hey All!  Do we have any details on the tour of PHS as to where to meet, etc?

Thanks!  Hope

Ben and I attended Church together. We dated a couple of times. Always a gentleman and so funny.

I am not sure where to post this but it needs to be somewhere.  One of Paschal's most distinguished alums has passed away on May 26, 2018.  He was Alan Bean, the 4th man to walk on the moon.  He is only one of 12 humans to walk on the moon and he went to Paschal!  He was not in our class, but PHS '50.  He was also a distinguished artist.  I worked with NASA at the Johnson Space Center for the better part of my career and was steeped in Space Stuff.  I wasn't sure anyone else was aware of Capt. Bean's accomplishments or his passing.

Thank you John Dickey, yes, there was a  post on the "Fallen Classmates site":

Alan Bean passed away.

Yes, John Dickey.  Alan Bean's sister, Paula, worked for my father at the U.S. Weather Bureau - Fort Worth Regional Office in the 60's and 70's.  When I was 16 or 17, after Alan Bean had been selected as an astronaut but before anyone knew who he was, he wrote a personal letter to me (probably at my father's request) with autographed photos and NASA material, etc.  He was really proud to be a Paschal Panther and I followed his career closely.  Do you remember that he took a Paschal Flag to the Moon and had a ticker tape parade in Fort Worth after coming back from the Moon.  I was sad to hear of his passing. Thank you Nicky and Everett!  Alan Bean was a very well-liked and respected astronaut down here in Houston.  Like anything else even among the elite, some are more respected than others.  He was one of those.  I am proud he went to our school!

For a long time he had one of his paintings displayed at one of our "NASA hangout" Italian restaurants, "Frenchie's".  It was a painting of astronauts on a moonscape.  He signed it something like..."Here we are on the moon looking for some great Italian food!"

God Speed Alan Bean!

Yes, Hope.  The Paschal Tour will be on Thursday, June 21st, starting at 11:00 a.m. Everyone will need to go to the main office with photo ID to get a sticker badge with your name etc. That is part of being on school property now days. We are to have a guide to take us around so I guess we will assemble at the office and receive instructions.  I understand that we can park at the parking lot at Forest Park and Berry Street.  After the tour I anticipate that those who wish to go to lunch will go somewhere close by.  Everett Young

Anyone whom I photographed at the last reunion and promised a silhouette portrait I still plan to do them. I may not get them all done before the reunion but I will try.  Better late than never?  Carl Weisser

Hello All!  After years of anticipating our biggest reunion, I will not be able to attend!  For the last 3 years I have been battling high blood pressure due to renal stenosis and it chose this last week to flare up again pretty badly!  I was advised not to fly until this is resolved so I will not be flying in today as planned!  I hope you all have a wonderful time as I know you will!  Please, whoever is on Facebook, post all the pictures you can so I can see the changes at PHS, the Magnolia and the Peteoleum Club.  I'm so bummed right now!

Hope

Hope,

We’re sick too, that you can’t come!  I’ll speak for the group by saying we’ve had so much fun putting the reunion together, old and now new friendships in place, we have to continue getting together.  Rest and rest assured you will be missed greatly but we can help you re-live it with tons of pictures/videos, but even better, we’ll have a post party you can attend.  If not, let us know when you return......we’ll just have a post post party! ðŸĪŠ  Take care of yourself, see you soon!💐 Go Panthers!

In tribute to all who have passed, but especially those who died in the first few years after graduation, I hope there is a place where you have been able to live an adult life, maybe its right here alongside us we just can't see you, for you certainly were robbed of a long life on this physical plane of existence.

Our 50th Reunion was an overwhelming success!  Thank you to everyone who put all of this together for all of your hard work!  You did an amazing job!   Amazing is not a strong enough word.

What a kind, fun, and good-looking group we turned out to be!   Everyone was having so much fun Friday and Saturday nights!  So much laughter both nights!  This weekend gave us even more wonderful memories together.  It was great to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in years and will stay reconnected with now.  Such a wonderful time!!!!

Ready to go again for a 55th reunion or sooner?   I'm ready to volunteer to help.  ;)

Thanks to ALL who worked so very hard to make the 50th Reunion such a success. I had a marvelous time reaquainting myself with so many of my fellow classmates. It has been quite some time since I last traveled to Fort Worth, and I was very impressed with the upscale design and architecture which the entire city (at least the parts I traveled) now seems to embrace. To all who attended "THE EVENT", best of luck and good health to you and your families, for now and far into the future. Have a good life!

Thanks to all who came by the front table where I foolishly parked myself too long to finish gluing and signing silhouette portraits. Am I already in pergatory? If so somebody please let me know so I can finally let the f----k go of all this sh---t I keep carrying around and hang out with the people I have loved dearly all my life.

What a great venue for our 50th. Class Reunin. Cindy and I had a great time, yes even Cindy, the Arlington Heights girl. It was great seeing old faces that I knew when they were young faces. Our bodies have aged but we are still the Class of 68. Everyone take care and be safe and we will all do this again.
