Jill Frazier (Bolton)

  Jill Frazier

I am Richard Bolton. I was Jilda's husband. We had been married for over 47 years. Jilda developed cognitive issues in late 2015. They grew progressively worse until she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2020. I cared for her at home until September 25, 2022, when she had a severe fall that required surgeries. Her daughter and I moved her from a rehabilitation facility to a memory care facility on October 27, 2022. Jilda's mind and health continued to decline until her death on June 5, 2023. I had encouraged her for years to reconnect with her high school classmates because my connection with mine has been great. I'm sorry she missed that experience. Jilda was one of the kindest people I know. She was my best friend. She had the biggest heart and a bigger smile. She would do anything to help others. She cared about her family, friends, and co-workers and carried their woes and burdens as her own even when all she could do was worry on their behalf. She had a sharp wit and loved to laugh. She was a wonderful life partner.

Richard, thank you for your wonderful tribute to Jill. She was a very sweet young woman when I knew her at Paschal and church (Broadway Baptist).  Bless you for your devoted care in her last years/days. I know intimately what you went through (husband had FTD).

I'm sorry that we didn't reconnect after high school.  We enjoyed each others company all through our high school years.

Richard, thank you for letting us know about your sweet and beautiful Jill.  You are are wonderful husband and it is so good of you to let us know about our classmate.  I remember her always having a smile and something pleasant to say although we never had any and extra cirricular activities outside of class.  May she rest in peace and God bless your family.
